Counselling Services
Welcome!
Reaching out for counselling can be an important step toward understanding yourself more deeply and creating meaningful change in your life. My goal is to provide a warm, safe, and non-judgmental space where you can feel truly seen and heard, explore what you're going through, and work toward greater healing, growth, and well-being.
- Elizabeth Edmondson, MSW, RSW
Why Blue Iris? The blue iris symbolizes hope, while the flower itself represents natural growth. Through our work together, my goal is to help you feel empowered to heal, grow, and make meaningful changes that align with your true needs. Additionally, the color blue evokes a sense of calm and clarity—the exact atmosphere I strive to create for you throughout your counselling experience

About
Elizabeth Edmondson, MSW, RSW (She/Her)
Elizabeth has worked in the social work field for 15 years and brings a variety of training, knowledge, and lived experience to her practice, as well as genuineness, warmth, compassion, curiosity, and attunement. She uses a relational, trauma-focused approach and draws from a variety of therapeutic approaches, including unique and evidence-based approaches to address trauma (please see the Services section below for more information). Elizabeth may use a combination of talk therapy and mind-body approaches tailored to meet your unique needs.
Elizabeth graduated from the University of Windsor with a Psychology with Thesis degree (2009) and with a Master of Social Work degree (2011). Elizabeth describes herself as a never-ending learner who continuously grows her therapeutic skills and knowledge through a variety of professional development activities. This year, she is further enhancing her trauma processing skills by completing Advanced Level Training in Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART). Additionally, Elizabeth is expanding her depth psychology background by starting a year-long clinical practice course from a Jungian perspective through the Society for Analytical Psychology (SAP).
In addition to being a social worker, Elizabeth is also a mother and a wife. In her spare time, she enjoys having fun with her family and friends, engaging in physical activities (such as Pilates and swimming), singing/taking vocal lessons, reading, playing board games, and enjoying the outdoors/being in nature.
What will the counselling process be like?
We go at your own pace, and I am happy to answer any questions you have along the way. We will talk about what brings you in, learn more about you, and explore your unique inner world—only discussing what feels right and comfortable for you. Because there is no one-size-fits-all approach, we will collaborate together on your growth, healing, and goals that fit your true needs.
I use a variety of therapeutic styles, whether you prefer a flexible or structured path. Please check the Services section below to learn more. Together, we will explore what works best for you.
